Reacting to Obama’s Education Speech

6518ab3e41eb4dc8[1]President Obama as usual delivered a very good speech today for America’s students. I must say I was inspired myself. I beleive that Mr.Obama is absolutely right in his desire to do more for America’s kids. The simple fact is that this country is neglecting Millions of young children. Countless schools are simply broken and as a Nation we have been trying to do something about it for well over a decade.

I have been very critical of Mr.Obama’s position on vouchers and charter schools. It is amazing that the man who campaigned on change started his presidency by continueing the democrat practice of siding with teachers unions above students and parents.

I’m sure MANY students really needed to hear what the President said. What is sad is that so many children never hear it, In many schools a student who looks like Mr.Obama might be treated as an ‘uncle tom’ simply for being studious. I beleive Obama touched a lot of young adults today and I think an optomist would say that some of those kids will really take it to heart. But it will not fix the system.

When Independents voted for Obama they didnt want this change. They didnt want someone who would deliver a great speech on an important issue. These voters wanted real change, real solutions, The BEST solutions to problems that this Government has been ignoring for a LONG LONG time.

Stop doing speeches, Stop doing coriagraphed townhalls with planted people. If you’re not going to take the tough questions there is no point to doing the event. Get to work finding real solutions and stop discarding the ones that don’t benifit your political base.

Myself and many on the right allowed some precious opertunitys slip by. It’s been slow with congress in recess and it seems the right played into Obama’s hand a bit. We need to get into the habit of avoiding the easy story and delivering the pertinent facts that the mainstream media chooses to ignore. This SHOULD have been a opertunity to slam Obama and his Buddy Deval Patrick for continuing to fight Vouchers and Charters.

-The Feds are already too damn involved in our local schools.

-It is important we put this all in context. Parents know they have good reason to be suspicious of left leaning teachers throughout academia. Mr.Obama heads a radical branch of the Democrat party that favors a UN treaty that is so broadly worded legal experts fear it could put Brussels in between American parents and children.

-We are starting to feel like the Government Owns the People. We KNOW our children are next.

-This speech embodies the one size fits all attitude of Dems. Many kids needed this speech, In the case of the rest Mr.President took it upon himself to do a parents job. Thanks, but no thanks.

  1. Just like the Armageddon that would befall us in the year 2000, the speech that was suppose to indoctrinate our youth. Now who was spreading the baseless lies…..hmm…..oh ya, “Fake News”. Is anyone real surprised? Too funny.

  2. Lets not forget that the speech and essay questions that were going to follow it were changed or tossed completely. Just like “death panels” somehow the left seems to be able to have it both ways. If there was no problem than why the change? Scrap the idea but continue to support it and insist that those who spoke out against the initial idea were wrongheaded?
Somebody tell the left you cant have your cake and eat it too.
